Edit Menu

The Edit Menu provides features to help you edit a file.

Undo
Ctrl+Z
Click this menu item to undo the last change you made. You can undo a number of changes, and redo them if necessary.
Undo is not available if undo/redo is disabled in the Options menu. By default, undo/redo is enabled.
Redo
Shift+Ctrl+Z
Click this menu item, immediately after an undo action (or after a series of undo actions), to redo the change(s) you made to the file.
Redo is not available if undo/redo is disabled in the Options menu. By default, undo/redo is enabled.
Cut (Bytes to Paste)
Ctrl+X
Removes the selection (or the byte at the cursor) from the file and copies it to the clipboard.
Copy (Bytes to Paste)
Ctrl+C
Copies the selection (or the byte at the cursor) to the clipboard. This does not change the file.

When pasting to other programs, the result will probably that the data is pasted until the first byte with a value of 0. The option Adapted Text to Clipboard of the Extra Menu provides a solution, by copying adapted data to the clipboard.
Paste
Ctrl+V
Pastes the contents of the clipboard to the file. If the Insert mode is on, Paste will insert bytes. If the Insert mode is off, Paste will overwrite. You can set the Insert mode in the Options Menu.
Delete
Del
Deletes the selection (or the byte at the cursor).

If you protected the file size with Keep file size at... of the Options Menu, the file size will not decrease. In that case, the value of the bytes will be set to a certain value of your choice. Use Set Fill Character... of the Options Menu to set it.
Select All
Ctrl+A
Selects all bytes of the file.
Insert a Number of Bytes... Inserts a number of bytes at file position. You can enter a decimal, hexadecimal or binary number here. If you want to add bytes at the end of the file, then move to the end first by pressing Ctrl+End.
Set File Size Adds or deletes bytes to set the exact file size. If bytes have to be added, they will receive a value of your choice. Use Set Fill Character... of the Options Menu to set this value.
End of File at Cursor Position The byte at the current cursor position will become the last byte of the file.
