Backup

Include the database in your backup

It is recommended to include the Project Tracker database file in your backup scheme. Include the file timelog_mirror.db in the data directory (by default C:\Program Files\ProjectTracker\data). Although timelog.db is the main database file, timelog_mirror.db should be used for backup purposes, because timelog.db might be in an inconsistent transient state.

Manualy backup

Instead of the procedure described in the previous section, it is also possible to manually backup the Project Tracker database at any moment. To do so, log in as administrator, open the System page, and click "Backup database".

Restore a backup

Using a backup file, it is possible to restore the database to a previous state. Warning: This will completely replace the current data in the database. To load a backup:
  • Open the Project Tracker Control Panel
  • Click "Stop service"
  • Open the Tools menu, and select "Restore backup database"
You will be asked to select the backup file that must be restored.
